APPLICATION
MODE
The unit operation of adsorption might be considered as complimentary
and supplemental, rather than competitive, when employed in conjunction
with other unit processes and operations, each of which might have
definite limitations with respect to small and/or large concentrations
of impurities to be removed. Each element is doing that part of
the work for which it is best fitted.
| Stand Alone Mode: |
 |
Can operate in the stand alone mode for contaminant reduction
in process wastewater |
 |
 |
 |
| Pre-Treatment Mode: |
 |
Can operate in the pre-treatment mode to protect other
unit processes, such as activated carbon, reverse osmosis
and desalination systems from oils, grease extractables and
hydrocarbons |
 |
 |
 |
| Post-Treatment Mode: |
 |
Efficient as a polishing agent downstream of existing equipment,
such as oil-water separators, corrugated plate separators, ultra-filtration,
coelescers and clarifiers. If your current wastewater treatment
system is old and outdated and doesn't conform to EPA regulations,
contact FilterCor to recommend a simple, inexpensive system
that, in most cases, can be easily retrofitted to existing equipment,
usually immediately following the clarifier. |
