ADVANTAGES
Economical to Use
Its high adsorption rate and capacity makes it the cost effective
alternative, relative to other quality filtration materials.
Less material used, more water treated per filter, fewer media changes,
lower maintenance costs.
Dependable
Can most often accommodate increases in flow rates and contaminant
concentration levels caused by accidental spills and plant upsets.
Will not leach trace impurities once bonded and locked in the media.
Simple to Apply
Available in standard filter configurations, diameters and lengths:
10", 20", 30" and 40" long. Custom sizes available.
Will accommodate conventional cartridge filter vessels and chambers
currently employed throughout the industry.
Environmentally Friendly
Waste or contaminant classification of the spent material is determined
by the constituents removed and is commonly disposed of at either
an appropriate landfill facility or through incineration, whereby
the spent material's fuel value of 15,000 BTU/lb. compares favorably
with many grades of activated carbon.
Treatability Studies
Pilot testing can be performed at the designated job site in order
to determine media performance and design criteria prior to full
scale, commercial start-up. Pilot tests can provide information
regarding media type, required contact time, bed depth, cartridge
quality and length, pre-treatment requirements, media dosage, breakthrough
and head loss characteristics, etc. Consult factory.
